"It's my pleasure to recommend your firm to my friends. I should say that you offer a superior service, which other big names in the industry cannot match."

Another win for Launch!

Katie Borton, of Launch Recruitment Sydney, was on Friday awarded ‘Recruiter of the Year’ by the Fairfax Employment Marketing Awards. The awards recognise individuals and companies who have made a significant contribution in their field and demonstrated excellence in the field of recruitment.

As a valued member of the Launch team since 2007, Katie has established her niche in building a highly successful temporary and contracting desk. Four years on, Katie continues to build on her excellent service delivery and intuitive approach to relationship management to provide dedicated service to her clients and candidates alike.

Katie’s true differentiator is her proactive approach to candidate care. She reengineered a more structured system for candidate care and retention through a rewards program and contact schedule. Katie is regularly seen on client sites delivering Easter, Christmas and birthday gifts to candidates, as well as holding movie nights and lunches – these activities have driven high retention rates with contractors and temporary staff over several years.

“My clients appreciate my approach to candidate care as it ensures that their temps and contractors feel like a valued part of the team instead of just a number. As a result my temps are happier and produce better results for them” said Katie. “To me it’s important to take the time with every candidate to ensure the recruitment process is a positive experience, people often feel emotional and vulnerable during job searches, not to mention the fact that you never know which candidate could potentially be your next client.”

Rebecca Wallace, Managing Director of Launch Recruitment recognised Katie’s unique relationship management skills and approach to candidate care as important qualities to being a successful recruiter.

“Katie has the unique ability to build solid partnerships with new and existing clients without the hard sell,” said Rebecca Wallace. “She consistently exceeds client expectations and gives every brief 100% of her attention and energy well beyond filling a job. She really is an asset to our team.”

Rebecca who certainly recognises and fosters talent in her team, also boasts a number of other FEMA accolades. In addition to this years’ win, Launch Recruitment were nominated as Small Recruitment Firm of the Year and another consultant, Sasha Jensen who is based in Melbourne, was nominated alongside Katie. Previous FEMA Recruiter of the Year, Carolyn Ezzy is another key team member.

Please join us in congratulating Katie, and the Launch team, on their well deserved achievements.
